Clinical Practice Guidelines & Evidence Resources
The Society for Integrative Oncology of Nigeria (SION) is committed to promoting safe, evidence-informed, patient-centred and multidisciplinary integrative oncology practice in Nigeria.
Integrative Oncology Guidelines
As a developing professional society, SION is currently working toward the development of Nigeria-focused Clinical Practice Guidelines for Integrative Oncology. Until these guidelines are formally developed, reviewed and approved, SION provides access to selected international evidence-based guidelines and authoritative resources for professional education and clinical reference
SION Guidelines – Under Development
SION is committed to developing evidence-informed guidance tailored to the Nigerian healthcare environment. Future guidelines will address areas such as cancer prevention, integrative supportive care, nutrition and lifestyle, symptom management, patient safety, multidisciplinary practice, clinical governance and shared decision-making.
All official SION guidelines will undergo appropriate expert review, evidence appraisal, stakeholder consultation and governance approval before publication.
SION Clinical Position
SION promotes integrative oncology as evidence-informed care that complements appropriate conventional cancer treatment—not as a replacement for established cancer care.
